Celebration of both the 21st anniversary of the Secular Humanist Society of NY and Darwin Day. Grand Chinese Banquet at the Red Egg in Manhattan. Guest Speaker: Darwin Scholar and Entertainer RICHARD MILNER. Plus, the presentation of the 5TH annual SHSNY Dumbth Award. For map, directions - www.redegg.nyc.com. For RSVP info, see below.

Between SHSNY’s anniversary (Jan 28) and Darwin Day (Feb 12), we’ll gather at the Red Egg restaurant downtown to celebrate both history-making events. We’ll feast at a sumptuous Chinese banquet — from Dim Sum and Dumplings to Grand Marnier Prawns and Sauteed Steak Cubes (lots of veggie choices, too) — cast the final votes for the recipient of the not-so-coveted SHSNY 2009 Dumbth Award, and enjoy the wit and insights of Darwin scholar, author and first-class entertainer (his “Musical Evening with Charles Darwin” was one of our best evenings ever) — Richard Milner.

To reserve: E-mail [masked], or call [masked] (leave a call-back number). Cost for the evening, all inclusive: $50. Cash bar. Check in advance, payable to SHSNY, to P.O. Box 7661, F.D.R. Station, New York, NY, 10150-1913
